How to Get Your Florida Marriage License

If your ceremony is in Florida, you can go to any clerk of the court in the State of Florida to obtain a Florida marriage license. And you can pick up the license once you are at least 60 days out from your ceremony.
Couples must have a valid photo identification such as a driver’s license, state identification card, government or military identification card, or a passport.
A Social Security number is also required to obtain a marriage license.
If either party was previously married and divorced, the date of the divorce will be required. If the date of the divorce was within the thirty days prior to the new application for a marriage license, a certified copy of the recorded final order will be required.
FYI, there is a 3-day waiting period for Florida residents. Couples who take the state-approved pre-marital counseling course do not need to wait 3 days.

If either party is from a foreign country and is not a U.S. citizen, alien registration documentation or other proof that includes an alien registration number is acceptable for obtaining a marriage license.

There is no waiting period for international residents.
Most countries require the bride and groom to register the license at the local registrar's office or government agency. Please check with your embassy/consulate or the appropriate office.
